I owe a lot of gratitude to Dr Cohen and his staff. Back in February i visited Dr Cohen for a second opinion. I had been suffering with sinus issues for quite some time. The original ENT my primary care physician recommended told me i had to have surgery. As a working mother of two young kids, that just wasn't an option. I am so thankful to find such a kind, caring and knowledgeable surgeon. I had a parathyroid tumor and was having difficulty with my insurance and my surgery. Dr Cohen called me personally to apologize for what I had been through(even though it wasn't his fault) and told me he would help in any way he could. Once all the insurance problems were worked out Dr. Cohen got me into surgery as soon as possible.He is a great surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. I had a septoplasty to try & correct a deviated septum a little less than 3 years ago, after having had one about 20 yrs ago. I had heard docs can do so much more now than 20 years ago, and Dr. Cohen was not afraid to go as deeply into the nasal cavity as he needed to. I've been seeing Dr. Cohen for years and trust his skills and judgement. He recommended two in-office procedures to improve my breathing -- Balloon Sinuplasty and Turbinate Reduction. He performed the procedures a couple of weeks ago and I am astonished to say it has been LIFE CHANGING. I can breathe -- really breathe. I want to start by saying that I was very nervous prior to my surgery. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and a better result. Dr. Cohen explained everything prior to the procedure, did a great job at the surgery, and was there for me all along until I completely healed. This "breathing through your nose" thing is awesome! If someone had turned me on to it, I'd have started doing it years ago! Thanks to Dr. Cohen and his capable staff, now I can do just that on a regular basis! As I write this, it's been 2 weeks since my turbinate coblation and nasal ballooning procedure, but I'm already sleeping better, have a lot more energy, I'm not getting as many headaches, and my allergy symptoms have reduced a lot. I'm really looking forward to seeing the long term positive effects of this.
