The staff here is really friendly. I went in because I had a penitonsillar abscess. Everything I read and was told by the other doctors who pointed me here indicated I would need something surgical done, from my tonsils needing a minor incision to complete removal. I liked Dr. Cohen because he recognized that the abscess was actually going away on its own, prescribed me a special mouthwash, and decided to hold off on the operation, which I didn't ultimately end up needing.

Dr. Alen Cohen saved my life on November 29, 2012. At the age of 62 I was diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroid disease by Ian Yip, MD, Endocrinologist. I knew I was sick for at least 8-10 years. The other doctors blamed it on my age, working, etc. Dr. Ian Yip was the only one to diagnosis my illness. Dr. Yip immediately referred me to Dr. Cohen, ENT, for surgery. I had my surgery April 2012. It changed my life for the best !!!!! I had been suffering for 40 years from sinus infections and breathing problems. Thanks to Dr. Cohen I am a new person, I can breath and enjoy life like never before. I read complains about the office stuff. The stuff is very professional , very polite and caring. I had the best experience all together.

Dr. Cohen is one of the best there is, he's very knowledgable and conscientious in an age where it seems like doctors mostly are not. Will definitely go here again.

Dr. Cohen contacted me this evening regarding my review, I was pretty surprised really. I believe that shows a level of commitment to his practice and patients. I replied and certainly hope things will be better our next visit. I look forward to being able to say everything is top notch over there. We'll see....

Dr. Cohen operated on my 85-year-old mother who had Zenker's diverticulum. She had suffered with this condition for years because she didn't want to undergo the serious invasive surgery that is the norm for correcting this condition. Dr. Cohen was able to repair the problem endoscopically with no ill effects and only a 1-night stay in the hospital. I had only fallen asleep once next to my Definitely-Meant-To-Be, but already she could tell something was seriously wrong. She had said that I had stopped breathing for a number of seconds, but would take a large gasp of breath, and then slow my breathing again until I stopped breathing alltogether, only to repeat the cycle. I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen's since 2023, and have in the past written a stellar review for him. Unfortunately things have greatly changed. I had a severe sinus infection, which I get on occasion. I have been suffering from sinus issues since I was a child.
