I was not impressed. Not only did Dr. Cohen not help me, I believe he caused me harm. Dr. Cohen misdiagnosed me and I wandered around miserable until I found a new ENT and was diagnosed with cancer. CANCER! Now that I know what I had, all the signs were there and this was a big miss. I do not recommend. In all fairness, he did help someone I know with a damaged septum. But he did not help me at all.

Had a surgery schedule and showed up at the time I was meant to, 5am. The doctor had an emergency the night before and forgot he was meant to operate. He then did it very hastily on his lunch and botched my surgery. I still have small pieces of tonsil left... I wouldn't recommend to My enemy

Business response:

I'm very sorry for your experience Emily it sounds absolutely horrible, but we have searched all our records and we cannot find you at all in our system. I also have not had an overnight emergency in over 2 years that has delayed me for surgery. Lastly I have not had any surgeries scheduled during my lunch hour in the past year. I think you may have mistaken me for another ENT physician in the San Fernando Valley.

My wife called twice in two days no answers. Left message with phone number. No call back after 3 days. Terrible customer service. I will inform my regular physician not to recommend him to his patients.

Business response:

Hi Chuck, I'm very sorry for your experience as this is not how we run our office. Unfortunately our office was closed for remodeling that week and for 2 days our phone system was shut down and relocated. We had messages being picked up at a forwarded number in our Encino office, but obviously we did not get back to you in a timely and efficient manner. I hope you realize this was a one time situation and not how we schedule patients or return calls. I hope your wife is doing well now and all my best to you and your wife... read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. My newborn baby girl was referred to this doctor. We showed up on time and left in waiting room for 50 min. Which is not very good at all with 6 weeks old. After we complain He told as with huge chip on his shoulder that it will be 10 more min. WHAT !. We left the office without seeing him. What a horrible heartless man. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!

I made an appointment with Dr. Cohen's office. During the one hour that I sat in the waiting room, one man complained angrily about his hourlong wait and a woman said that they had entirely forgotten she was there on her previous visit. No one apologized to any of us for the wait or was able to give a time estimate or explanation for the problem. We were expected to just sit quietly and lose our entire afternoon in the hopes that at some point we'd be seen, I guess. Finally I gave up and left, annoyed by the disrespect. Dr. ... read more

Business response:

I understand your frustration because of the long wait time in our office on that particular day of 45 minutes. I had 2 emergencies that arose only an hour before you arrived, otherwise we would have contacted you and rescheduled or alerted you of the delay. My staff should have explained this situation to you on your arrival and I apologize for the mis-communication. We're making efforts always to improve the communication between our staff and patients when emergencies arise with patients. I personally never take my pa... read more

Probably the worst doctors office I have ever been to actually I take that back probably one of the worst professional business establishments. Let me break this down as I am not exaggerating this review Dr. Cohen seems to be a knowledgeable ENT doctor and good person but the problem is this office and staff. When I went there the girls up front were just a mess disorganized and could not deal with the angry patients waiting cause they probably had people come in at the same time. While I was waiting I noticed a patient sign... read more

Business response:

Hello Andy, I'm sorry that your experience was as such in my office. Please understand that I take patient reviews and comments to heart and make appropriate changes to my office accordingly. Since you posted this review and reported your opinion, we have let go of one of our employees who was responsible for being unprofessional with patients and not dealing appropriately with their concerns. I hope your understand that machines do break down at times, like our CT scanner. This machine is less than a year old and the pa... read more

I needed to see a ENT for my deviated septum. I called ahead time and check if they took my insurance. When I get there they have me sign a form that they took my insurance but out network. Wish I would known this before I came in to avoid issues. Very loud and unprofessional inside the office. Office staff was running around and looked like chickens without heads as they say. Reception almost lost my ID and denied ever taking it; ended up on her desk lost; grrr Someone needs to train their STAFF BETTER. My wait time was ... read more

Business response:

I'm sorry Karen about your experience. My staff and I strive to make sure that patients rarely wait over 30 minutes to see me. However sometimes I'm called to emergencies at the hospital and as such am a bit delayed for the office. Usually these are life-threatening issues and not very common. Nonetheless, we're working on a system to notify patients if a physician is delayed more than 30 minutes as we value our patients' times and schedules as well. Lastly, I'm sorry about the miscommunication in regards to your insura... read more
